We own the sound. You make the content. We split the royalties — transparently, every month, no games.
When a Short uses a piece of music, YouTube carves out a portion of total Shorts ad revenue and routes it to whoever owns that sound. This happens regardless of whether the creator posting the Short is in YPP. Every view counts.
Most creators have no idea this revenue even exists. The companies that do know about it either keep it all, or promise to share it and then disappear. RevSplits is built to do neither.

daily Shorts views globally — the pool is enormous
We produce original audio and register it with YouTube via a licensed distributor (Amuse). This activates Content ID — YouTube's system for tracking and monetizing sound usage across all uploads.
Creators in our network add the RevSplits sound to their content. YouTube's Content ID fingerprints the audio and automatically identifies every Short using it globally.
From the total Shorts ad pool, YouTube allocates the music rights portion proportionally based on view counts. That revenue flows through Amuse to RevSplits monthly.
We calculate each creator's earnings based on their proportion of total views using our sound. Payouts happen monthly. Every figure is visible in the creator dashboard before payout hits.
This is the most important thing to understand: using a RevSplits sound does not reduce your creator pool earnings. The music rights revenue is carved out of the total Shorts ad pool before creator allocations are even calculated.
You upload your Short. You earn your usual creator RPM exactly as you would with any other sound. On top of that, you receive a monthly payment from RevSplits based on the views your Short generated. Two revenue streams from one piece of content, with no extra work required after upload.
Every creator starts on a genuine 50/50 split — no fine print, no sliding scale that favours the house. What you see in the dashboard is what lands in your account.

Partner Tailored terms — reach out to discuss | 65% | 35% | By arrangement |
If you're running serious volume or want to explore what a tailored arrangement looks like for your situation, email hello@revsplits.io and we'll have a straight conversation about it. No gatekeeping, no minimum subscriber counts plastered on the page — just a real discussion.
RevSplits will never promise a fixed RPM. The music rights pool is a percentage of YouTube's total Shorts ad revenue, divided by total views using our sound. Both variables shift every month. Any company offering a guaranteed per-view rate is either lying or misinformed. RevSplits promises a fair percentage of whatever actually comes in — paid on time, shown in your dashboard before it lands in your account.
The music rights space has bad actors. We know — we've seen them. RevSplits was built to be the verifiable alternative: every claim checkable, every payout on schedule, every figure visible before money moves.
Every creator can see exactly how their earnings are calculated — views attributed, the royalty rate that month, and their exact payout — before money moves.
Payouts happen on a set date every month, no exceptions. The payout log is permanent and visible. Our reputation is built one on-time payment at a time.
Our sounds are registered through a licensed distributor with active Content ID. You can verify a claim on your own video and see the system is real before you commit.
